BiH Parliament: Member of joint Commission for European Integration met with the delegation of Bundestag

Chairman of Joint Commission for European Integration Halid Genjac, his deputy Borjana Krišto, and members of the Commission Šefik Džaferović,Mehmed Bradarić and Stjepan Krešić met yesterday with the delegation of German Bundestag.

German delegation included vice-president of the Friendship Group for BiH Josip Juratović, member of the Group for Security and Defence Policy Axele Schneider and member of the Defence Commission of Bundestag Rainer Arnold.

Genjac said that positive event in the neighbouring countries affect positively BiH, adding that BiH has full support from Croatia on its path to the EU.

Krišto pointed out that there is a consensus in BiH about its European path, but with slightly different views how to get there.

She added that the implementation of Sejdić-Finci ruling opens up an important issues in BiH – how to reconcile civic concept and national concept. She added that the implementation is purely a political issue, not legal.

Representatives of Bundestag emphasized that precondition for BiH accession to the EU is the full respect of basic democratic values.
