BiH Presidency Chairman: Both Neighbours think that they can get this Country politically

The event ‘Days of victory, days of pride’ began in Vlašić Mountain, where the largest flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, measuring 5×10 meters, was raised on a mast that is 17.5 meters high. Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić congratulated those who built the complex on Vlašić and showed that they care.

“But it should be important for these children as well. They should be left with the memory of the late General Alagić and his comrades. We should say thank you, never enough, to those who lost their health, body parts, and their families,” said Komšić.

He stated that it would be easier for him to talk about the army and what happened from 1992 to 1995, than from the position of politics.

“Why? The lines were clear. It was known who was ahead – the enemy. Friends, family are behind. Today, the lines are not clear. There was a lot of talk about what was happening, about the true “miracle of Bosnian resistance”. There is no better word. To build an army capable of carrying out operations like this one in Vlašići in two years is an incredible thing. I don’t know if anyone in history has managed something like that. However, a more difficult question arises as to where we are today,” said Komšić.

He then referred to the words of Denis Bećirović who said that we have never been more divided and divided.

“I am neither united nor divided, I am where I was from 1992 to 1995. If I am asked to talk to those who crossed the lines and ask me to move, I cannot. Let’s remember the post-war period, how many times we crossed our pride and dignity believing that those we believed were our friends, although they left us stranded in 1992. How many times we left our pride and dignity believing in political correctness. I don’t hate anyone, I don’t see anyone as an enemy, but what do you ask of us, how far should we bend our backs? Why can’t we say we are ready to do the same again. I will not talk to anyone who crossed the red line,” said Komšić.

Let’s turn around, he added, they say that history most often repeats itself as a farce, ours is difficult, painful and terrible.

“Don’t let these children leave this farce and unresolved issues and leave them with an unclear situation instead of fear and struggle for their own position. We should say a lot more to all those who work for our country and call themselves our friends. We don’t have a problem with only one politician from the East, but also with this one from the West. Both neighbors think that enough time has passed, that they can get this country politically that they couldn’t during the war, they have allies for that in those we thought were our friends,” concluded the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić, Fena reports.
