Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic, after the opening of the 7th Global Baku Forum, held bilateral meetings with Albanian presidents Ilir Meta and Azerbaijan president Ilham Aliyev on Thursday, was reported from Federal News Agency Fena.
As Dzaferovic told Fena, presidents discussed the relations between these countries, how to improve economic and overall relations.
“From my interlocutors, as well as my side, the desire to improve these relationships has been highlighted. We are a friendly country with both Azerbaijan and Albania, so there are many opportunities for cooperation in many fields,” said Dzaferovic.
He said that he will meet with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and other officials.
Dzaferovic was one of the speakers at the opening of the Seventh Baku Forum held in the organization of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
The 7th Global Baku Forum (7GBF) is coming at a particularly critical moment and a difficult crossroads in governance of the globe. Multilateralism is in retreat. The authority of international institutions is in decline. Big Power politics is regaining legitimacy. Democracies are struggling with profound existential questions. Cherished foundational values are being challenges. Xenophobia and intolerance are threatening open borders and the status of religious and ethnic minorities. The authority of Science and integrity of the media are under siege. New technologies are emerging faster than society and culture can adapt. Keynote speakers will include Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and addresses by current and former heads of state, foreign ministers, international diplomats and thinkers.
