BiH Presidency Member Presented Merlin With An Award For Outstanding Artistic Contribution

A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, hosted a reception for BiH musician Edin Dervishalidovic (Dino Merlin) as a sign of gratitude for his outstanding artistic contribution and the promotion of BiH in the world.

Becirovic emphasized that it is important to recognize deserving individuals who contribute to the positive promotion of our country and to show them respect. In this context, Becirovic said that Dino Merlin’s artistic engagement goes beyond musical frameworks and is part of the cultural identity of BiH. He added that Merlin is one of our most successful musicians of all time and that through his creative work, he has left a mark on the music scene of BiH and the region.

He presented Dino Merlin with an award for outstanding artistic contribution and the promotion of BiH. He stressed that Merlin is an artist whose songs have been connecting people for decades and strengthening the sense of belonging to BiH.

“Merlin’s songs have become timeless hits, accepted by all generations. Dino Merlin’s artistic path is consistently imbued with the values of peace, love, and mutual respect. His artistic expression is recognized throughout the world,” Becirovic said.

Thanking him for the reception, Dino Merlin emphasized that the recognition from a member of the Presidency of BiH also has deep symbolic meaning and that he experiences it as a great honor. He added that the idea of BiH as a state of equal people is a flame that will never go out. That flame gives hope for building a better world. He said that BiH is his lasting inspiration and that people there can build a secure future only together.

“Everything I have done and created carries within it love for this country and its people,” Merlin said.

The member of the Presidency of BiH also spoke with the renowned artist about the importance of culture and art in modern society, the role of artists in preserving identity, as well as the importance of continuous institutional support for cultural creativity as one of the key segments of affirming BiH in the world, Klix.ba writes.
