BiH Presidency Member received Ambassador of Indonesia on a Farewell Visit

BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović received Roem Kono, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on a farewell visit.

During the meeting, Bećirović thanked Ambassador Kono for the very good cooperation and emphasized that his successful diplomatic mission had additionally contributed to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The interlocutors noted that relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Indonesia are good and friendly. During the meeting, possibilities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest were highlighted.

Ambassador Roem Kono emphasized that the Republic of Indonesia supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that the Republic of Indonesia will continue to support activities and projects aimed at strengthening the democratic and multiethnic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bećirović emphasized that the Republic of Indonesia is a proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that it has shown this by providing support during the adoption of the Resolution on July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide in 1995.

He also thanked the Republic of Indonesia for financially supporting numerous reconstruction projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
