Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović spoke with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif about strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They jointly expressed satisfaction with the very good political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and emphasized that the relations between the two countries are an example of friendly ties and cooperation.

During the telephone conversation, Bećirović informed Prime Minister Sharif about the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely about the attack by the leadership of the BiH entity RS on the constitutional order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Bećirović congratulated Prime Minister Sharif on the election of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2025–2026, and in particular on Pakistan’s support in the UN Security Council.
