The Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of Romania, Viorica Dancili, on taking over the presidency of the European Union.

BiH’s Prime Minister thanked for the earlier political and technical assistance that was given to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the acceleration on the European path and expressed hope that during its presidency, Romania would keep the Western Balkans on the European agenda.

“I congratulate you on the presidency over the EU. Bearing in mind our strong commitment to EU integration and the progress we have made, we expect that, during your mandate, Bosnia and Herzegovina will get candidate status in the EU, which will open new prospects for country stability, economic development and the rule of law,” Zvizdic stated.

Knowing the continuity of your work, and efforts in regional European integration, I am sure that your presidency will further strengthen the European perspective of the entire Western Balkans, where you will have our full support, Zvizdic added.
