The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Denis Zvizdic participated in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In his address at panel on the Western Balkans “Creating Strong Partnerships for Growth and Peace in the Western Balkans”, Chairman spoke about regional cooperation and challenges that countries of Western Balkans are faced.

Chairman stated that the best way of cooperation is in a way that all issues, especially those concerning open bilateral disputes, should be resolved through continued dialogue, mutual respect and respect of the internationally recognized facts.

“In that sense, a good example for strengthening the good neighborly relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and further improvement of regional and bilateral cooperation is the relationship we have established with Montenegro by signing the Border Agreement in 2015,” said Zvizdic, urging his counterparts from neighboring Croatia and Serbia to conclude border agreements as well.

He added that, by closing this chapter, they should ensure that the focus of future relations is on economic, cultural, social and other topics of relevance for the sake of improvement of the living standard of citizens.

Chairman also said that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it has been so far, will remain a partner for all areas and topics that will enable each country individually, and the whole region, to have stable, prosperous and successful cooperation.

At the margins of the World Economic Forum, Chairman Zvizdic met with Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev and congratulated him on the success achieved regarding the change of name of his country. He said that the citizens of Macedonia have chosen the right path that leads them to the EU and NATO alliances.

Chairman also met with Andrej Plenkovic, Croatian Prime Minister, where they briefly discussed the improvement of the cooperation between the two countries.
