Although the ITA collected more funds from indirect taxes in 2023, the entities received less income in the final distribution due to the fact that the external debt of the entities is significantly higher in this year compared to 2022. Amounts for repayment of external debt are deducted before distribution of income to beneficiaries. All amounts are expressed in millions of BAM.
In addition to the distributed revenues in the table above, based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 81.6 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 53.9 million BAM and the Brčko District 2 .7 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM.
