Bosnia and Herzegovina records Price Growth

The level of prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March this year compared to the same month last year was higher by 10.3 percent, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Average price growth was recorded in the sections food and non-alcoholic beverages by 19 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by six percent, housing and overhead expenses by 11.9 percent. The prices of furniture, household appliances and regular home maintenance increased by 12.1 percent.

Prices in healthcare are higher by 2.9 percent, and in the communication section by 0.9 percent.

Prices in the recreation and culture sections increased by 9.4 percent, education by 2.3 percent, restaurants and hotels by 8.6 percent, and other goods and services by 10.2 percent. The average price drop was recorded in the Clothing and Footwear sections by 6.1 percent and transportation by 0.9 percent.

The prices of products and services used for personal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, measured by the consumer price index, in March 2023 compared to the previous month, recorded an average increase of 0.4 percent.
