BiH records the Highest Monthly Amount of Revenue

Revenues from the indirect taxes for July of 2023 amounted to 951 million BAM and represents the highest monthly amount of revenue collected since the establishment of the institution, announced the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.

Cumulatively, revenues from indirect taxes in the period January – July 2023 amounted to 5 billion and 952 million BAM and are higher by 422 million BAM or 7.63 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to 5 billion and 530 million BAM.

In the period January – July 2023, the ITA returned 1 billion and 272 million BAM to the economy.

The net collected revenues that were distributed to users in the period January – July 2023, namely the state, entities and the Brčko District, amounted to 4 billion and 679 million BAM and are higher by 329 million BAM compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.

An amount of 587 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the period January – July 2023. The largest part of the income from indirect taxes ended up with the entities and Brčko District. A total of 2 billion 540 million BAM was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 billion and 376 million BAM to the Republika Srpska and 141 million BAM to the Brčko District.

Based on the special toll for the construction of motorways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 120 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 79 million BAM and the Brčko District 4 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve in a special account for road tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM, the ITA announced.
