BiH Security Minister lifts the Ban on Entering for Two Nationals of Serbia

The ban on entry has been lifted for lawyer Goran Petronijević and professor Miloš Ković from Belgrade, BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić said today.

“Based on the assessments of the competent services, Ković and Petronijević were banned from entering Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Nešić emphasized.

The decision to lift the ban on entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina for Petronijević and Ković was made by the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA).

In March of last year, the border police of BiH did not allow Professor Ković to enter BiH at the Vardište border crossing, with the explanation that he “represents a danger to the security of BiH”. The decision to ban entry was made at the end of February 2022.

Even lawyer Goran Petronijević is not allowed to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Karakaj crossing on March 25, 2022, because, as stated in the decision, he “poses a threat to security, public order, public order and peace and public health in Bosnia and Herzegovina or the international relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Petronijević was a member of the defense of convicted war criminal Radovan Karadžić. He is a frequent guest on TV shows in which he denies the adjudged genocide in Srebrenica, for which his client was legally sentenced to life imprisonment.

He was also the defender of Bratislav Dikić, the former commander of the Serbian Gendarmerie, accused of having, with the help of Russian intelligence, tried to carry out a coup d’état in Montenegro in order to prevent that country from joining NATO.

Last year, Bratislav Dikić was also banned from entering Bosnia and Herzegovina, but there is currently no information that his ban has been lifted.
