BiH Security Minister to Federal Minister of Internal Affairs: “He will not arrest anyone”

BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić spoke about the statements of Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak, who said that the police would arrest the President of BiH entity of RS Milorad Dodik if the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests it.

At the beginning, he stated that peace and stability have no price and that Bosniak voters should punish the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ramo Isak, who, as he says, lies to them with populist statements.

“He will not arrest anyone, he knows that very well, because he has no jurisdiction,” Nešić pointed out.

Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak once again reiterated that the Federal Police Administration (FUP) will arrest the President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik if the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issues such an order.

He said that the RS police will not cause any problems regarding the possible arrest of Dodik on their territory and that this is all a distraction from the real problems that this entity has.

“You know very well that the RS is in an economic dilemma. The RS is now living thanks to the Federation. All this is to the detriment of the Federation, but it is not a problem. Last year, the profit of business entities in the FBiH was four billion and 900, and in the RS two billion and 70 million. This is an indicator of everything that is happening in the RS. They need something to happen in order to divert the attention of the public, so that people do not understand that their refrigerators are empty, that the question is whether they will receive a pension or a salary,” said Isak for TVSA.

He says that Dodik will be arrested if the Court issues such an order and that everything else is politicking and statements by certain politicians who want to ingratiate themselves with Dodik.

“They tell lies that it is impossible. That is not true. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issues an order, he will do it. 90 percent of the cases of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina are handled by the Federal Police Administration (FUP). How will the FUP deprive Dodik of his freedom? Very simple. It is very easy on the territory of the FBiH, and on consent is requested on the territory of the RS, and that will happen without any problems. Everything else is nebula,” said Isak.

He referred to the statements of certain politicians from the RS that the local police will protect Dodik from arrest.

“They can protect him until the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina makes a decision that he should be arrested. From that moment on, the RS police cannot do that. 90 percent of them are professionals, they will not fall for daily political fights,” he added.

He repeated once again that he, like Ramo Isak, will not arrest anyone, but the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This is Bosnia and Herzegovina. I and Dodik and everyone else must understand that. In this country, there is a law that will have to be respected. Dodik has proven that he respects the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He responded to the summons of the Court, he responded to the indictment that arose after the decision High Representative Christian Schmidt? Yes. That means he also respects Schmidt,” said Isak
