From 27 February to 4 March, 1 500 students of the University of Sarajevo, Mostar, Zenica, Tuzla and Bihać participated in the Students’ Visit to Rome. Students had the opportunity to get to know Italian culture and tradition, history and also to see landmarks of Rome and Venice and Florence.
They saw the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Di Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, St. Peter’s Square and the most spectacular church in the world the St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican.
In Rome, students celebrated the 1 March, Day of Independence of BiH by visiting the grave of the last Bosnian queen Katarina Kosača.
This visit is the continuation of the students’ project that lasts for two years and it is organised by the Students’ Parliament in Sarajevo, and so far students have visited Vienna, Prague, Istanbul, Berlin and Rome.
