Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations od Bosnia and Herzegovina Stasa Kosarac said that BiH had submitted answers to the pre-commission Questionnaire for the export of goods of animal origin to Israel.

The Israeli side, he says, has submitted a pre-system Questionnaire for assessing the system, which is a precondition for potential exports of goods of animal origin from BiH, excluding poultry.

“The Ministry, in cooperation with the Veterinary Office of BiH and other competent bodies for veterinary controls, food safety and animal health, actively worked on filling out the Questionnaire, and we successfully completed that work,” said Kosarac.

He pointed out that a response from Israel is expected in the next phase, after previously making the necessary assessments of the system in BiH in terms of veterinary controls, food safety and animal health.

“The opening of the Israeli market is a good opportunity and an additional incentive for the development of domestic agricultural capacities, which is why we will invest maximum efforts in the realization of this goal.”

We have submitted the Questionnaire and we expect that Israel will soon respond positively to our request for the export of goods of animal origin to the market of this country, “Kosarac said.

He expressed gratitude to the Veterinary Office of BiH and other competent bodies for veterinary controls, food safety and animal health, which actively worked on filling in the answers from the pre-mission Questionnaire.

“Our basic policy is to continuously work on opening new markets for domestic products. In this sense, in addition to the EU and CEFTA countries, we have paid special attention to the markets of Russia, China, Malaysia, Israel, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. I am convinced that our joint efforts will contribute to a positive outcome for the domestic agricultural sector, “Kosarac pointed out, Klix.ba writes.
