The company “Elektroprivreda BiH” recorded a net loss of 57.56 million BAM last year, according to the company’s annual report.

The company’s total revenues in 2024 amounted to 1.28 billion BAM, which is about 9.9 percent higher than the previous year, while total expenses decreased by 10.3 percent and amounted to about 1.34 billion BAM.

The loss was incurred because the mines delivered less coal throughout the year, the year was hydrologically unfavorable, and due to the lack of production and growth in distribution consumption among end customers, the planned sales through balance surpluses were not realized, and energy procurement was higher.

The report states that last year there were delays in the implementation of new tariff rates for customers on the public supply service, and instead of June 1, as planned, the implementation began on August 1.

In 2023, the loss of “Elektroprivreda BiH” amounted to 331.79 million BAM.
