As part of its Traveller Review Awards, Booking presented a list of lesser-known destinations that stand out for their exceptional hospitality.

Everyone loves arriving at their desired destination and being welcomed by locals with open arms.

Booking.com has published the 13th edition of its Traveller Review Awards, awards based on travelers’ impressions. This year, the platform highlighted the 10 most hospitable cities in the world, using an impressive 360 million reviews on accommodation, activities, and travel experiences.

The first place goes to Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress near the city of Dambulla in Sri Lanka. This UNESCO heritage site is located in the country’s cultural triangle, and Booking.com describes it as “an unforgettable blend of adventure and tranquility.”

In second place is Cazorla, a picturesque town in southern Spain, nestled among the Sierra de Cazorla mountains, known for its charming shops and steep cobblestone streets. The third place goes to Urubici, one of the coldest cities in Brazil, located in the Serra Catarinense region.

Here is the complete list of the 10 most hospitable cities in the world:
