European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell spoke at a security conference in Munich, and commented on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), saying he was deeply concerned because of the tensions.

”The situation in BiH is certainly more worrying than ever. It has never been easy, but now the centrifugal forces are very worrying,” Borrell said, adding that he called Dodik to remind him that they should talk about the discussion.

Further, he pointed out that there will be no division of BiH.

”I can assure you that, in close contact with the United States (U.S.), the Secretary of State and I have issued a very serious warning. We will not accept the separation and disintegration of BiH,” Borrell said.

He also appealed to political leaders in BiH and called them to be accountable.

”I urge the responsibility of BiH’s political leaders to avoid the country’s disintegration,” the EU’s foreign policy chief stated.

He also stated that the process of constitutional and electoral changes will be long, but called on the leaders to implement reforms.
