Bosanska Kostajnica: Houses, Kindergartens, Libraries, Cinemas Flooded

bosanska kostajnica floodsYesterday, Bosanska Kostajnica was hit by new floods and this municipality is second time under water in only 10 days.

As a result of the storm Tavija and Bubnjarica rivers were flooded and left devastation. The level of water in the town was around one meter what caused cinemas, kindergartens, libraries and tens of houses to be flooded.

The Mayor of the municipality Drago Bundalo said that the rivers were literally flowing through the town and that trees and cans were all around the city. The whole situation reminded on chaos.

He confirmed that teams from Prijedor, Bosanski Novi and Kozarska Dubica responded to his calls and that they are participating in pumping water from flooded areas.
