Bosanska Kostajnica: Rising levels of River Una

river unaOn the territory of municipality of Bosanska Kostajnica, the water level of river Una at 7:00 o’clock was 417 centimeters, which is for 67 more than the level of ordinary flood protection, was announced by the Department of Civil Protection.

The preventive measures were taken in order to protect against flooding of urban areas, especially in the village of Ševarlija where 12 houses are flooded.

In the municipality of Bosanska Dubica, this morning at 07:00 0’clock, the water level was 859 centimeters which is 25 centimeters higher than yesterday at 17:00 o’clock and it continued to show a slight increase.

The situation in the municipality Laktasi is normalized. Today the cleaning and decorating the riverbed Stupčevice in Trn will be done, as well as the pumping of water from the basements.
