The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against England for the first time in its history. The duel between England, currently the third national team in the world, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be played on June 3 in Newcastle.
This news was confirmed by the president of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vico Zeljković, via social networks.
“This will be a great opportunity for the national team to compete against one of the main favorites to win the European Championship. I hope that the Dragons will also qualify for the EURO through the barrage and that this match will also serve as a kind of preparation for us to see the best European selections in Germany. I would like to thank the Football Association of England for the agreement reached. This is a great honor and privilege for us. I hope that the match in the cradle of football will be a huge motivation for our players,” said Zeljković.
on March 21 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina will play the play-off semi-final for EURO 2024 against Ukraine.
The Dragons, in case of eventual victory, will play the play-off final at home against Israel or Iceland.
The play-off final is scheduled for March 26 this year.
As a reminder, the winner of the UEFA Nations League B play-off will play in a group with Belgium, Romania and Slovakia at EURO 2024.
