Bosnia and Herzegovina has registered over 1.3 Million Tourist Visits

Bosnia and Herzegovina has registered 1,361,324 tourist visits in the period January – November 2022, which is an increase of 53.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the period January – November there were 2,990,960 overnight stays, which is an increase of 43,2 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The number of overnight stays by domestic tourists is 14.2 percent higher, while the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists is 69 percent higher compared to the same period in 2021, BiH Statistics Agency announced.

In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists is 37.6 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists is 62.4 percent.

In terms of overnight stays of foreign tourists, the highest number of overnight stays were realized by tourists from Serbia (14.5 percent), Croatia (13.5 percent), Slovenia (six percent), Germany (5.3 percent), Turkey (five percent), and the United Arab Emirates (4.9 percent) and Saudi Arabia (4.3 percent), which is a total of 53.5 percent.

Tourists from other countries accounted for 46.5 percent of overnight stays.

In terms of length of stay of foreign tourists in our country, Kuwait is in first place with an average stay of 3.8 nights, Ireland and Iran with 3.3 nights each, and France, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt with three nights each.
