A prayer was prayed for the killed ones and flowers were laid, while the attendees were addressed by the President of the Assembly of the Srebrenica Municipality and President of the Municipal Board of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Hamdija Fejzić.

“Every inch of this soil is marked with the blood of Bosniaks who gave their lives for the defense of Srebrenica and Podrinje. There is no place in Srebrenica where a Bosniak was not killed. We are here today to pay tribute to them and remember the killed ones who are never to be forgotten,” Fejzić stated.

President of the Organization Mothers of Srebrenica Hatidža Mehmedović said that July is the most difficult month for the surviving victims of the genocide.

“Today we visited the execution sites where our beloved ones were killed. We visited Kravica, the Orahovac school. The sad thing is that schools were being turned into camps. We who survived the genocide do not have to say much, but we talk because the kids who are coming must know what was happening. They must know that a genocide was committed here,” Mehmedović said.

Mehmedović invited the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to process all those who committed crimes during the aggression on BiH.

In front of the building of the Primary Court Srebrenica, the citizens had an opportunity to see the exhibition of photographs and a video showing facts about this crime.

In parallel with this event, members of the Organization Eastern Alternative from Bratunac marked the killing of Serb population, also on these locations. President of this organization Vojin Pavlović said that this marking is being held for the fifth consecutive year.
