The dentist and director of the school “Ian Donald” in BiH, Selma Porovic, became a member of the World Academy of Perinatal Medicine, the Department of Young Scientists, which has a total of 13 members from all around the world.
The World Congress of Perinatal Medicine (WCPM) will be held in Romania this year. Besides Selma Porovic, new members of the World Academy of Perinatal Medicine are also Dr. Sonal Panchal from India and Dr. Zehra Nese Kavak from Turkey.
Dr. Selma Porovic also achieved great academic and personal success last year with her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the University of Zagreb as the most successful PhD candidate in the history of this university.
Selma was author and co-author of more than twenty scientific and expert papers, of which four have the CC recognisability. She is also a co-author of chapters in three books. She organized several international conferences in BiH, and gave lectures in Moscow (Russian National Research Medical University – N. I. Pirogov), St. Petersburg, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, Dubrovnik, Dubai, Sarajevo and Belgrade. She is also a reviewer of two international journals, DSJUOG and the Journal of Perinatal Medicine. She became a member of the Department of Young Scientists at the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine in Khartoum (Sudan) in the year of 2016.
