The Bosnian national basketball team member Marica Gajic will play for the Spanish champion Club Baloncesto Perfumerias Avenida next season, local media Radiosarajevo reported on Sunday.

After making a big impression in Turkey, where she played for several teams, Gajic is joining the ranks of Spain’s top team, Xinhua news agency reports.

In Turkey, Gajic played for Istanbul Universitesi, Mersin, and then for Hatay, which she left due to financial problems in the middle of last season.

She turned in consistently high performances in every game, culminating in the Eurocup, where she averaged 18 points and more than 12 rebounds per game.

Also, Gajic led the Bosnia and Herzegovina national side in the Eurobasket qualifying matches, in which the team achieved victories over Switzerland and Russia.
