For families of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina, January 3rd was an important day.

After seven months of peacekeeping in Afghanistan, the soldiers returned home to their families.

One emotional meeting was recorded by a soldier’s sister, and the video shows a little girl opening the door to her father and running into his arms.

For the first time, soldier Rasim Salihagic was separated from his daughter for seven months.

“It was hardest for him to be separated from her, and even though they were communicating every day, nothing could replace her warm embrace. The recording is another testament to the immense love between father and daughter,” the soldier’s sister told Klix.ba news portal.

Members of the infantry unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina returned on Friday from the “Determined Support” mission in Afghanistan.
