The Global Round of the World Scholar’s Cup was held in Barcelona in the period from July 22 to 27, 2018, where Melika Losic from Zenica, who is a student of the International High School Richmond Park in Sarajevo, recorded a great success.
In the competition of more than 2,600 competitors from 70 countries, Melika Losic won three gold medals: two in individual competitions in science and technology, one gold medal for general knowledge, and two silver medals – in the competition of literacy and debating.
Melika went to Barcelona as the only representative of BiH thanks to funds provided by her parents and a businessman from Zenica.
The results achieved in Barcelona ensured her participation at the next competition organized by the famous American University of Yale. However, her performance in that competition is still questionable, since large funds are needed for her departure and appearance in the USA.
It should be also noted that this talented and successful young girl from Zenica is very good at playing the piano, and she was also involved in acting.
