Names of the Candidates for the Presidency already known?

presidencyAlthough almost two years are left until the next general elections, there are already some speculations about the names of the candidates for the highest functions.

According to Television N1, some of the names are public already, for instance: Jerko Ivankovic Lijanović will candidate for the Member of the Presidency for the Croatian member and Mustafa Cerić left the open possibility of re-nomination.

Experts say that the race for a President representing Bosniak people will be especially uncertain. Fahrudin Radoncic, the leader of the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB), has recently said that ” there is only one Bosniak, that is, Bakir Izetbegovic who could compete with him (Radoncic)”. When asked what he thinks about the candidacy of Izetbegovic’s wife, he said he did not hear about it.

His candidacy is quite certain, and it would be the third attempt of the former owner of Avaz. This time, his opponent will not be Izetbegovic, since he has lost his right to candidacy because he tied the two mandates.

And who will be the candidates of the Party of Democratic Action for the Bosniak member of the Presidency? Unofficially, the director of the University Clinical Center,  Sebija Izetbegovic and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Denis Zvizdić.

Moreover, there is a story about the formation of some joint list of candidates of the left parties, or Civil option, as it is more known under this name in BH. In that case, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) would candidate Denis Becirovic for the Bosniak member of the Presidency. However, Becirovic said that it is too early to argue on this issue.

” We’ll talk about that issue when the time of the elections approaches, so in an election year. That’s all I have to say, ” he said.

On the other side, the race for the Presidency in the Republika Srpska will be interesting as well. Milorad Dodik or a new attempt by Zeljka Cvijanovic?

On the third side, no one is speaking about the potential candidate for the BiH Presidency member from the Croatian people.
