vaccines2The Ministry of Health of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) is informing citizens that the action of free preventive vaccination against influenza for the season 2015/2016 is starting today, on the 20th of November.

This year, the Health Insurance Institute of CS provided funds for the purchase of 12,000 doses of vaccine. Action is implemented in cooperation with the PI Health Care Center of CS, and the citizens can get vaccine in 76 clinics that are working within this facility.

Vaccines are free for following risk groups: pensioners and people over 65 years old, the chronically ill patients, people with special needs, war veterans and civilian victims of war, employees in health care institutions, the Ministry of the Interior of CS and the public transportation who are engaged in the transportation of passengers, as well as the educational workers.

Citizens are obliged, upon the arrival to the clinic, to own a certified medical identification card and an appropriate document which is proving that they belong to one of the risk groups.
