After the hearing held after the acquittal of the first-instance verdict, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo found Izet Čorbo guilty of the criminal offense of insider information from the Law on the Securities Market of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Corbo was sentenced to one year in prison. At the same time, his property benefit in the amount of nine million BAM was confiscated.

The accused is accused of having, from August 2011 to June 2014, in his capacity as executive director and majority shareholder of the company RFK “Valjčići” Konjic, used privileged information from two letters of intent from the company NN International BV from the Netherlands, which expressed interest in purchasing the broadcast share capital in RFK “Valjčići”.

Thus, in the mentioned period, the accused bought shares at a price of five BAM, and then sold them to the same company as the majority owner of the shares at a price of 77 BAM. In this way, he acquired illegal property benefit in the amount of 9,440,352 BAM.

There is a right of appeal against the said judgment.
