The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Marinko Cavara, hosted the Ambassador of Japan to BiH, Makoto Ito.
Namely, they discussed current political issues in the FBiH and BiH, and the possibilities of improving cooperation between Japan and the FBiH, especially through the fields of economy, tourism, and culture.
The partnership
The Ambassador of Japan Makoto Ito pointed out that during his mandate in BiH he advocated the improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries, but also the improvement of the situation in BiH, given that Japan is a member of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC).
He also stressed that Japan has a good partnership with the European Union (EU) and that it supports the European path of BiH, which is also the path of development and stabilization of the situation in BiH.
Numerous programs, donations, and projects
Cavara thanked the Government of Japan for the assistance it provides to the FBiH and BiH, which is recognizable in the public through numerous programs, donations, and projects that contribute to improving living conditions for every citizen in the FBiH and BiH.
One of such projects is the project of procurement of agricultural equipment for the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Persons “Bakovici” in the municipality of Fojnica, for which the Government of Japan approved 134.600 BAM. On that occasion, a handover ceremony of the donation of the Government of Japan will be held today at the Institute, which will be attended by Ambassador Ito and Vice President of the FBiH Marinko Cavara.
