CEC BiH confirms the Results of the indirect Elections for Parliament

At yesterday’s session in Sarajevo, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision on confirming the results of the indirect elections and awarding mandates for the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In accordance with the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of 80 delegates, 23 from Bosniak, 23 from Croat, 23 from Serb nations and 11 from the Others.

After the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the results of the indirect elections today and assigned mandates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the conditions for convening the constituent session of that legislative authority have been met.

According to the provisions of the Election Law, it is prescribed that in the next 30 days it is necessary to hold indirect elections for the appointment of delegates, five Bosniaks and Croats each, to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from the Federation of BiH, the CEC reminded.
