The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) yesterday, at a session held, adopted a decision on imposing monetary fines on the SNSD and their candidate Sinisa Karan, which relate to the pre-election campaign.

The total amount of the imposed fines is 20.000 BAM.

As stated at yesterday’s CEC session, two fines relate to the misuse of resources reported by the SDS.

Namely, the complaint states that the president of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, Radovan Viskovic, and Sinisa Karan, during a visit to the police station in Milici, used a public event, more precisely a public facility financed by public money, in favor of their pre-election campaign in order to send political messages.

“In the procedure, it was established that on several portals statements by Sinisa Karan and Milorad Dodik were published where political messages were sent from the gathering,” it was said at the CEC session.

Therefore, the CEC adopted the decision to fine the SNSD 5.000 BAM, and Sinisa Karan 4.000 BAM.

This decision was supported with six votes “for”.

The third fine refers to the SDS complaint for violating the provisions that prohibit the misuse of children in the election process.

“The SDS submitted a complaint against the SNSD, stating that Milorad Dodik and Sinisa Karan, during the opening of a production facility, published a text and a photograph where it can be seen that a child is cutting the ribbon during the opening of the facility,” it was stated at the session.

Because of this, the CEC adopted the decision to fine the SNSD 6.500 BAM.

One more fine was imposed on Karan, which relates to the misuse of children in the election process, in the amount of 4.500 BAM due to a Facebook post about a visit to a family from Visegrad. From the CEC, they stated that the post also included a photograph of children.
