From June 2, 2021, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) putting in circulation coins in denominations of 5,10, 20 and 50 fenings and BAM 1, additionally minted in 2021.

The coins of these denominations, issued in 2021, were minted in accordance with the regular activities of the CBBH, which aim to provide sufficient coins of the appropriate denomination structure for the needs of cash circulation in BH.

The basic features and design of additional quantities of coins in the denominations of 5,10,20 and 50 fening and BAM 1, issued in 2021, remain the same as in the coins of the earlier issues of these denominations, however, the numeric sign „2021“ is on the back of the coins, as the year of the minting of these denominations.

The minting of additional quantities of convertible mark coins has no inflationary effect, as no BAM will be put into circulation without the observation of the currency board principle, meaning that each issued convertible mark has coverage in foreign currency at the fixed exchange rate.

Coins will be put into circulation successively, i.e. as needed, through Main Units and Branches of the CBBH.
