12782013_1116414061742882_569645389_nThe dissatisfaction of the citizens of the Sarajevo Canton with public transportation is not ceasing. The Cantonal Public Utility Company (KJKP) GRAS has not been regularly performing the minibus lines for a long time now, especially those lines on the slopes of Sarajevo.

Company Centrotrans Eurolines is not satisfied with previously adopted solutions for the passenger transportation in the Sarajevo Canton, because passengers are on the loss the most. The relevant authorities seem to still not understand the needs of citizens and with their solutions they are trying not to complicate the situation, but rather to find a solution and enable the citizens to use transportation services, Centrotrans stated.

„We exclusively accept petitions that were submitted by local communities and relevant municipal services, because they must give consent. We are currently working on obtaining consent for establishment of the line Vogošća – Hotonj – Orahov brijeg, because we had plenty of calls by the citizens from that area. We generally do not have problems with maintaining our lines that are established throughout the Sarajevo Canton“, stated the spokesperson of Centrotrans, Aida Smajić.

Smajić highlighted that the company will keep working on solving key issues in the field of transportation in the Sarajevo Canton and she expressed satisfaction with the support coming from the citizens and their endeavors for better quality of transportation in the city.

The relevant ministry received a certain number of requests from municipalities in the Sarajevo Canton and they are as follows:

-From Stari Grad Municipality – request for registration of minibus line Latinska ćuprija – Pogledine

-From Ilidža Municipality – request for registration of bus line Ilidža – Lužansko polje and bus line Hrasnica – Vijećnica (commercial line)

-From Vogošća Municipality – request for registration of bus line Vogošća – Dobrinja and bus line for the settlement Orahov brijeg

-From Trnovo Municipality – request for registration of bus line Vijećnica – Bjelašnica

-From Novi Grad Municipality – request for registration of bus line Dobrinja – Vogošća

Minister of Transportation of the Sarajevo Canton Mujo Fišo stated that the Ministry will, in accordance with laws and regulations, register the timetables as requested by the competent bodies of the Municipality for the lines for which it is determined that there is justification for their establishment.
