At the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, a ceremonial opening of doctoral programs was held yesterday. The doctoral program was officially opened for applicants for the Departments of Politology, Sociology, and Peace and Security studies.
Professor Muharem Avdispahić, the rector of the University of Sarajevo, professor Šaćir Filandra and the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences Nerzuk Ćurak, the manager of the doctoral program addressed the attending students, professors and other attending applicants of the doctoral studies.
The organization of doctoral studies and program is the crowning of the university reform, a triumphs that enables Faculty’s recognition as a certified and credited high education institution. The Faculty of Political sciences has a long history of social science research, so the organization of the doctoral program is just a natural and logical step of the long success of B&H academic society as a science and educational facility. The doctoral program happens to be introduced at this Faculty in the time when this high education institution is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The aim of this doctoral program is to correspond to science trends in the world’s academic society.
After the brief address of the aforementioned professors, and the introduction about the new doctoral program, the professor and students joined in conversations on a cocktail party.
