A ceremony held on the occasion of the “Day of Veterans” took place at the House of Armed Forces of BiH, in the organization of the association “Union of Veterans” of Canton Sarajevo.

On that occasion, charter and notes of acknowledgment were given to those who took care of demobilized soldiers, and they were also awarded, posthumously, to the first President of the Presidency of BiH, Alija Izetbegovic.

The president of the “Union of Veterans” Ismet Imamovic noted that they wanted to remind us in this way on November 1992, when the first wartime organization was established. Its task was to take care of disabled war veterans and families of martyrs and killed soldiers.

The charter and notes of acknowledgment are, as noted, awarded to those who stood out during the war and the postwar period.

During the academy were evoked memories on the beginning of the aggression against BiH, and it was noted that it left many innocent victims, including children.
