Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic received the delegation of the German State of Baden-Wurttemberg, which was led by President Winfried Kretschmann.

Chairman Izetbegovic noted the traditionally good and friendly relations of BiH with the Federal Republic of Germany, and added that he believes that this visit will contribute to a significant expansion of their cooperation, especially when it comes to economy and education.

Prime Minister Kretschmann informed Chairman of the Presidency of BiH that there are a large number of businessmen, representatives of educational institutions, as well as representatives of civil society in his delegation, and that they came with the intention to contribute to further intensification of relations between BiH and Baden-Wurttemberg. They added that the owners of companies from this region are planning to invest in BiH, and that we need to work on strengthening of the rule of law, transparency and removal of bureaucratic obstacles for these investments. Moreover, they discussed the dual education system in Germany and the possibility for its application in the vocational education in BiH, with the expert support of partners from Germany.

The Strategy for Danube Region and the possibility for BiH to take part in the projects within that strategy, was also discussed at the meeting, according to the Presidency of BiH.
