Chairman of BiH Presidency met with the US President

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović attended a reception organized by the President of the United States of America Joe Biden and his wife Jill in New York.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA have strong and friendly ties, and our strategic commitment is to further strengthen those ties. The meeting with President Biden and the first lady was an opportunity to express my respect to the president and the people of the USA for all the help to our country so far. I am glad that President Biden once again expressed his full support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially that he emphasized his personal connection with our country,” said Bećirović.

We remind you that Bećirović is currently on an official visit to the United States of America.

Last night he addressed the session of the United Nations General Assembly, and today he spoke before the UN Security Council.

In both speeches, Bećirović pointed out that Serbia is again a threat to the security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bećirović thanked the UN General Assembly for adopting the Resolution on July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide on May 23 this year.

“This resolution is a highly moral and civilizing act of the UN General Assembly. The adopted Resolution is equally important for the UN as it is for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Let’s preserve the truth about the genocides in Srebrenica and Rwanda for the sake of the past, present and future.”

He noted that despite all the injustices, Bosnia and Herzegovina remains firmly committed to regional cooperation, as one of the main strategic foreign policy goals.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is a peaceful country, committed to strengthening regional cooperation. That is why we actively participate in numerous regional initiatives. For the peaceful future of the Western Balkans, it is of crucial importance that all countries understand that there are no changes in national borders. Those who try to question it risk a dangerous destabilization of the region, with unforeseeable consequences.”

Serbia is once again threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bećirović publicly warned the world public that the leadership of the Republic of Serbia is once again threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The great-state claims of Serbia towards the territories of other countries are the essential reason why Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans are exposed to new dangers. One of the pieces of evidence that speaks of this is the destructive Declaration of the so-called of the All-Serbian Assembly. I remind you, the Declaration was adopted in Belgrade on June 8 of this year. It is not an ordinary declarative act, but a dangerous large-state program document, which threatens the Dayton Peace Agreement and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
