Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, submitted today to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a request for the review of the constitutionality of the Amendment to the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was passed on October 2 by the High Representative Christian Schmidt, with a proposal to abolish those decisions.

The request seeks to establish the inconsistency of the provisions of the disputed Amendments and Laws with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, first of all, in the part that refers to the democratic principle and the consequent principle of the rule of law, i.e. the principle of legal certainty, stated the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
