Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic met with Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj in Skopje, on the margins of the First Digital Summit of the Western Balkans. They discussed the topic of current bilateral and regional issues.

Chairman Zvizdic stated that a permanent goal of BiH is building peace and stability in the Western Balkans region, and that our country will provide its support to every continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. He added that the basic guidelines of foreign policy of our country are for all regional disputes to be resolved in a dialogue and a peaceful way with mutual respect from all involved sides.

They also discussed the improvement of economic relations and concluded that the trade exchange between BiH and Kosovo would be much higher if they improve the visa regime. It would enable faster and more efficient trade of people and goods, especially since businessmen and citizens are suffering from the consequences of the current rigid visa regime with no good reason.

Chairman Zvizdic and Prime Minister Haradinaj also talked about sanctions that Kosovo is planning to introduce to our country in regard to the import of milk and dairy products from BiH. They agreed for this decision to be prolonged until the meeting of the relevant ministers, which should be held within the next seven days, and it is expected for the arrangements to be agreed according to positive practice.

Chairman Zvizdic said that regional countries should strengthen their friendly relations, build transport, energy and digital infrastructure, and systematically adopt standards of the EU because of the future of generations to come.

Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH, Ismir Jusko, attended this meeting as well.
