Charges have been brought against Three Doctors for the death of the Dzena Gadzun

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo filed charges against three people in the case of “Džena Gadžun”, the spokeswoman for the Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton Sarajevo, Azra Bavčić, confirmed for “Avaz”.

The accused are doctor Suad Rožajac, and two doctors Jasmina Halimić and Nina Jovanović.

Suad Rožajac is charged with serious criminal offenses against people’s health, in connection with the criminal offense of medical malpractice. Nina Jovanović and Jasmina Halimić are suspected of abuse of position.

We remind you that in November 2021, the girl Džena Gadžun was operated on in the private clinic “Bejtović” in Sarajevo. Complications occurred during the routine operation and she was transferred to Clinical Centre Sarajevo, where she died a few days later, on November 14th.

The operation was performed by doctor Nina Jovanović, who was found not to have a temporary license for supplementary work.
