The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina has made a decision to remove Gordana Tadic from the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

After discussing the disciplinary measure to transfer Gordana Tadic, the Council voted and decided to reject the appeal and to confirm the second-instance decision.

Six members voted in favor, five against and one abstained.

At the session, a decision was made that the Appointment Department immediately contact four deputies who can be appointed as acting Chief Prosecutor. Ozrenka Neskovic, Diana Kajmakovic, Ismet Suskic and Milanko Kajganic can be appointed to this position.

HJPC member Slavo Lakic said that it would be good to hold consultations and votes on the election of a new acting director during the day.

“My thinking is not to go ‘ad hoc’ in random proposing. Maybe it would be good for the competent sub-council to be included in that part and to hold consultations, given this situation, to do it during the day,” Lakic said.

Tadic was charged with “negligence in the performance of official duties”, as well as “failure, for unjustified reasons, to act according to the decisions, orders, or requests of the Council” of the Law on the HJPC BiH.
