Children from the Socially Endangered Families on Vacation in Novi Vinodolski

nv   vvvSarajevo – Within the cooperation of friendly cities Sarajevo and Zagreb, a 100 scholars of the Foundation “Ikra” e.g. children coming from socially endangered families will take a vacation in Novi Vinodolski in August. They were invited by the Mayor of the town of Zagreb, Milan Bandić.

After the ceremonial session of the City council on April 6th 2014, the Mayor of Zagreb sent a letter to the town of Sarajevo inviting the children, pupils, students and their attendants to come to the Adriatic Sea.

Sarajevo and Zagreb reached a decision that 100 scholars of the Foundation for education of the children of veterans, killed veterans and civilians of the war “Ikra” should stay this year in the House of the City Association of the Red Cross Zagreb in Novi Vinodolski.

The town of Sarajevo is giving scholarships to the members of this Foundation for the past seven years, in order to ensure a better education and living conditions for those children, coming usually from families counting many members.

The children will stay there in two periods: from 4th to 11th August and from 25th August to 1st September. On 50 children there will be 5 attendants. The first group left Sunday at 22: 00 o’clock.

The town of Sarajevo has ensured transport and allowance. Children will have professional animation, swimming school and arenas will audio-visual aids available. – was announced at the City administration of the town of Sarajevo.
