Twenty-four years later, she came to the City Cemetery in Bratunac to pay tribute to her husband and 68 other people who were killed there during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“My only salvation is that I have a grandson named after him – Branko. My husband was captured alive in Zalazje, and after that we never found out what happened with him. It is not fair that only some people are processed for their crimes, and Naser Orić was excluded from that, as if he was not killing innocent people,” Milojka says.

Slavorad Tišić was killed in Bratunac in 1993, and his son and daughter-in-law came to the City Cemetery to pay tribute to him.

“I live in Kravica, not far from here, and so many years later the justice is not yet satisfied and I feel bad. I think that there is no coexistence here and there will never be, and we communicate with the Bosniaks only when we have to,” said Slavorad’s son Mladen Tišić.

Mladen added that he does not dispute the marking of anniversaries and remembrance of victims wherever they are, including the yesterday’s marking of the 21st anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Milenko Simić from Srebrenica today pays tribute to his father and uncle who were killed 24 years ago. Milenko says that every day is painful and difficult for him, because justice is not satisfied. Now he lives in Novi Sad, and his mother lives in Srebrenica. He says young people massively leave this part of Eastern Bosnia because of dissent and unrest that can still be felt.

Velinka Ivanović from Zenica is marking the anniversary of her brother’s death, who was killed in Pandić. Velinka says he was killed by Bosniaks, and that Serbs are usually blamed for everything.

Today was the 24th anniversary of the killing of 69 Serb civilians and soldiers who were killed at the territory of Bratunac and Srebrenica in 1992, in the villages Zalazje, Sase, Biljača and Zagoni. Apart from family members of the killed ones, also present in Bratunac were veteran associations and organizations of the families of the captured and killed fighters. Flowers were also laid by the Serb delegates of municipal authorities of Bratunac and Srebrenica.
