The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can expect to see an increased number of patrols, EUFOR said today.

“According to our recent press release and social media announcements regarding the activation of 500 EUFOR reserve forces, BiH citizens can expect to see an increase in EUFOR patrols,” EUFOR said in a statement.

As they stated, they have members from 19 participating countries, and the staff that performs operational patrols is mostly from Austria, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and Slovakia.

“The deployment of these forces is a precautionary measure taken to strengthen stability in BiH, by positioning a sufficient number of capable forces in the country to support BiH institutions in maintaining a secure and stable environment. Their task will be to show the EU’s determination to maintain stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, “EUFOR said.
