Coffee and 16 Bullets: What is the Motive of Murder in the Centre of Sarajevo?

Nihad Sarajkić killed Anel Kršo with 16 bullets yesterday on Wilson’s promenade, and as Klix.ba unofficially learns, the alleged love affair between Kršo and Sarajkić’s wife could have contributed to the bloody conflict.

The preliminary results of the investigation indicate that Kršo was allegedly in a relationship with Sarajkić’s partner and that this relationship was the cause of the conflict. Despite Sarajkić’s attempts to stop the relationship, the relationship continued, and Kršo sent threats.

Kršo, as they learn, was last in prison for the crime of domestic violence. At the end of March this year, he was arrested in Konjic, according to a warrant issued by the Sarajevo police. He was armed at the time of his arrest, and another unlicensed firearm was found during the search of the apartment. A month earlier, in February, another criminal complaint was filed against him. His shootings in Sarajevo are also known in the police files.

However, it is obvious that Sarajkić decided to take matters into his own hands and, unfortunately, to solve everything with murder. He planned everything in such a way that he invited Kršo to a cafe located on Kovačići where they sat together yesterday afternoon, and then, when they finished talking, he followed him and fired 16 bullets from a gun.

Sarajkić then called the police himself, told them what he had done and waited for them at the scene of the murder and confessed to the crime. Sarajkić was not known to the police as a person prone to committing misdemeanors and crimes.

The prosecutor of the CS Prosecutor’s Office ordered an autopsy that will show how many bullets hit the murdered man. Sarajkić is currently undergoing criminal investigation at the premises of the CS MoI, and during the day he will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, Klix.ba reports.
