Croatian citizens spent 106.8 million euros on “Black Friday”, which is 5.5 percent more than last year.

When it comes to retail trade, excluding motor vehicle and motorcycle sales, data from the Tax Administration shows that a total of 5,068,773 fiscal invoices were issued.

Last year, citizens spent 101.3 million euros on “Black Friday”.

“Black Friday” is the name for the Friday after Thanksgiving in the USA, which marks the beginning of pre-holiday shopping.

This custom, characterized by discounts in stores, has spread around the world, with discounts and promotional sales often lasting longer than just one day.
