In the second round of voting, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not reach the necessary consensus for organizing the voting of citizens of the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Romania residing in the territory of our country, on the occasion of the elections for the European Parliament from these countries, and on the occasion of the elections in Romania for local public bodies administration in 2024.
After in the first round of voting, at the 50th session of the Council of Ministers of BiH on May 28, the requests for approval for voting did not receive the necessary majority, the necessary consultations were carried out, and today’s 30th extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers of BiH, in the second round of voting, was not achieved consensus for accepting diplomatic notes from the embassies of Poland, Slovenia and Romania in Sarajevo for organizing the voting of citizens of these countries residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to earlier media reports, ministers from Republika Srpska were against organizing the vote, because these countries voted for the Resolution on Srebrenica in the UN General Assembly.
