Council of the City of Sarajevo Decide on Recipients of the 6th April Award

At today’s session, the City Council of the City of Sarajevo made a decision on the winners of the 6th of April Award of the City of Sarajevo for 2026, and it was unanimously decided that the individual 6th of April Award will be awarded to the founder of the humanitarian association Pomozi.ba, Elvir Karalić, while the collective award went to the Association Obala Art Centar Sarajevo.

Earlier, the Committee for the awarding of the Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo submitted candidate proposals to the City Council, which the councilors voted on today.

Karalić will be awarded the Sixth of April Award for significant accomplishments and significant work results in other areas of work and creativity.

The collective award will be presented to the Obala Art Center Sarajevo Association for significant achievements in the field of culture and art.

The Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo is awarded to prominent individuals, groups and organizations in recognition of exceptional results and significant achievements in various areas of political and social life.
